BALHAM, SW12
This project was a full house redevelopment that transformed an unloved and unmodernised Balham home into a stunning and spacious property.
The original house was almost entirely demolished, leaving only the external side walls and the lower front wall. Everything else was rebuilt from scratch, with high-quality materials and modern standards. We added a traditional-style bay window wall to the front first bedroom, which gave the room more character and space. We also created a new ensuite for the master bedroom, making it more comfortable and luxurious. The house now has three full bath/shower rooms and a ground-floor WC.
We installed a new roof and a two-bedroom loft conversion, as well as a 10-metre-long wrap-around side and rear extension. The loft shower has a roof window above it, creating a bright and airy feel. The extension features slim-line aluminium sliding doors that open up to the garden. The heating system was upgraded, and the water pipe, the acoustic system, the lighting system, and the air conditioning system were installed, making the house more efficient and comfortable. We also added a built-in sauna in the ensuite, for extra relaxation.
We restored the Victorian charm of the house by removing the pebble dash at the front and replacing it with a traditional brick finish. We also added period coving details and a shaker Devol kitchen. The oak wood flooring, the bespoke wardrobes and cupboards, and the traditional column radiators added more style and elegance to the house.
We used micro cement walls in the bathrooms, creating a serene and minimalist look and supplied and installed all-new hardwood sash windows throughout the house, enhancing their appearance and insulation.
We finished off the project by landscaping the front and rear of the house, creating a beautiful curb appeal and a welcoming outdoor space.
Our clients were thrilled with the result and praised our management and build quality. We were honoured to have the opportunity to showcase our talents and passion for full-house redevelopment in this project.
